I present to you an extended Hamptons travel guide. J & I try to make the journey out east as often as possible--it is truly my happy place. Traveling to a new or exotic locale is sometimes stressful, as there can be an obligation to check off everything on your to do list. This pressure is absent in a local summer destination, and there's no need to do anything but relax on the beach by day and enjoy some cocktails by night.

Travel hack: powder cleanser. No carry on restrictions! 🙌🏼 I’m really enjoying this OG @tatcha formula with rice bran, silk protein and papaya enzymes that I recently rediscovered in the depths of my skincare cabinet. With the addition of water, it turns into a creamy foam that leaves my skin smooth, radiant and moisturized. It’s gentle enough to use in the morning, but effectively removes SPF and makeup at the end of the day. The brand makes this in several different formulas geared towards different skin types (brilliant!). This one is perfect for a drier climate and cooler temperatures, though in the summer when I’m more oily I’d likely opt to try the Deep formula. It’s also pH neutral, cruelty free and derm approved as its free of comedogenic and irritating ingredients! Does anyone know of other powder cleansers they’d recommend? 2019 was a good one. I graduated from my dream grad school, passed my boards, traveled, lived an epic summer out east, and spent a lot of quality time with family and friends. I watched J set lofty goals and achieve them. We overcame setbacks and came out stronger as a result. I learned more about trust and friendship, leaving toxicity behind and the values I hold dear than perhaps any other time in my life. I started a new job in my dream field. I can honestly say I’ve never been happier and I can’t wait to see what 2020 has in store. Happy New Year 🥳
